Easy Hair Styling Tips For Luscious Locks

As a woman, we have a lot more to think about when getting ready in the morning for the day ahead. Men are able to roll out of bed and shower and that’s it, but for us, we have a whole ritual of showering, skincare, makeup, hair styling and dressing before we leave the house. If you are anything like us, you are likely always trying to find ways to cut that time down in the morning, and often it is our hair which suffers as a result. Here are some of the ways you can make sure you still have stunning hair when rushing in the morning!

Braid overnight

One of the most annoying things to do in the morning when you wake up is sitting and style your hair for the day. If you have long hair especially it can take some time to curl or straighten your locks or find that perfect wave. However, a super simple way to achieve soft waves without working hard is to braid your hair the night before. Sleeping with your hair in a braid can protect your hair from damage and when you wake up and take the braid out in the morning you will have soft waves for the day ahead. The tightness of your waves will depend on how you braid your hair, the tighter you braid it the more waves there will be.

Avoid too much heat for too long

Every hair stylist and expert will tell you that the one thing to avoid with your hair is heat. It is unrealistic to say never use heat at all, but if you can avoid it as much as possible it can really make a difference to your hair. In terms of the way it behaves and feels it will be much shinier and silky if you avoid heat and this will make it easier to style or simply leave natural in the mornings. Looking after your hair and avoiding damage can mean that you can avoid working as hard to make it look great.

Use serums

Hair serums and leave in conditioners can be your best friend in the morning when styling your hair. If your hair is looking a little electrocuted and frizzy in the morning a small volume of serum can help tame those flyaways and make it easier for you to style your hair. It means you don’t have to spend 20 minutes in front of the mirror trying to achieve that perfect, sleek ponytail, because the hard work will be done for you!

Use time-saving tricks

In the morning before work, the last thing you want to do is spend every second in front of the mirror styling your hair. But it’s ok because we have a super simple time-saving trick for anyone who wants to achieve gorgeous curls in less time. Curling your hair might seem like a pipe dream on a regular work day but now you’ll be able to rock those bouncy curls within less than 10 minutes. Brush your hair and place it in a high ponytail on top of your head. Use the curling iron and take small sections until your ponytail is curled. Release your hair, shake it out and brush with your fingers for stunning curls.
