February roundup

For the shortest month oy the year February was full events, meeting new people and discoveries.

The saddest hing of the month was that my camera died. I really liked it! But the most exciting thing of the month was buying the new one! My Cybershot by Sony has been upgraded to Nikon Coolpix! The quality of the photos are so much better! I am still learing all the features and secrets to make my photos as good possible. So March will be the month of changes (at least in photo quality) on the Anita’s Diaries.

Beauty Favorites

In February I changed a little bit my face care routine. I started using Nutri gold face day & night cream by L’oreal. I really enjoyed using this face cream, it felt like it was made for my skin during winter when temperature goes below zero °C. Cream is very thick and nutrition skin very well. And cream smells like honey!
Another product what I loved this month is micellar water by Garnier. It can take off make up very easy (even my Rocket mascara from Maybelline). And my skin didn’t turn red after using it so another reason to include it my beauty favorites.
Last product I want to talk about is Maybelline Fit Me foundation. I was surprised how good coverage I would get from it. Skin looks natural and smooth. One of my all time drugstore foundation!

All Febraury my lips were very dry and chapped. So it’s no wonder my most used beauty products were lip balms!
I have previosly reviewed lip butter by Nivea (you can read it HERE). I really like them but using them all day could by a little messy because you apply product on your lips with fingers. So I swithced from time to time with lip balm  from Neutrogena and Baby Lips from Maybelline. Baby Lips are great products for summer but for winter (you can read the full review HERE).
So I haven’t find my best lip balm/lip butter. Maybe you have any suggestions? Beccause my lips are still very dry.

Lifestyle

I haven’t read books in really long time but in February I started to read again.
How to be Parisian is really beautiful coffee table book with lots of gorgeous photos and good tips. I must admit that I bought this book under the hype. It was all over the Instagram! And it is OK. There was some chapter I really loved and other were like meh. But this book can be a really good conversation piece!
Witchcraft Couture by Katarina West is amazing book! I loved reading it so much (you can read full review HERE). Fantasy and fashion fusion turned out to be an exciting combo!

The Strain – a TV show I couldn’t live with out! Guillermo del Tore made vampires scary and badass again. The pilot episode totally blow me away. It was so good! I don’t if I should review the show. But if you like horror and scary tv shows then this one is definitely for you.
Second season couldn’t come any sooner!

And this dark chocolate is so good! I used to loved dark chocolate so much and I don’t understand why I ever stopped buying it. Happily reunited!
